Nancy Floy was raised by her Grandmother—a meditation teacher—and grew up in her sangha in Seattle. She has practiced and studied in Nepal, India and China with some of the great Tibetan Buddhist Masters and is now a student of Her Eminence Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche. Nancy is the founder of the Tsogyaling Meditation Center, now Ösel Ling, the Heartwood Center and the Heartwood Foundation Women & Cancer Program.
Julie Heegaard has been a student of Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche since 1998. From 2004-2011 she was the director of a large meditation center in Baltimore, MD where she also served as a teacher and meditation instructor. In January 2012 she began a four month retreat at Mindrolling Lotus Garden Retreat Center. Julie then remained at Lotus Garden as a member of the resident staff until March 2015, when she moved to Evanston to serve as Resident Director of Ösel Ling.
