Taming the Mind: A Review of
Eliminating the Darkness of Ignorance

This past summer, H.E. Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche continued her profound teaching from Wangchuk Dorje’s Eliminating the Darkness of Ignorance. This classic text by the 9th Karmapa outlines the path of Mahamudra, covering the preliminaries as well as the actual meditations of shamatha (calm abiding) and vipassana (insight), and presents a complete path to enlightenment.

This weekend program will review some of the key highlights of Rinpoche’s teaching, and discuss how best to incorporate them into our daily practice. All practitioners are welcome to attend the program, even if you were unable to come to the summer teachings.

The program review on Friday night and Saturday will be led by Nancy Floy and Larry Akey. It will be followed by a shamatha practice session on Sunday morning, and will end with a community gathering in the afternoon.

Everyone is welcome to attend these Sunday events at no cost. Donations are always welcome.
